European Scenes...a category with endless possibilities! A couple dozen countries, with no two alike...architecture, people, natural wonders...I have to say, sometimes I think this is too broad of a gallery theme, but through some pretty tough editing, I try to only show you the best of the best.
Years ago, in my earliest trips to Europe, I was stunned by the architectural wonders. The churches and cathedrals found across Europe are mind-numbingly beautiful. When you see some of these structures, you wonder how it is even possible that they could have been built by the hand of man. And yet, after being awed by the architectural wonders of the European continent, I've since begun to photograph less obvious scenes in subsequent trips there. I guess I figure you can find images of Notre Dame, Prague Castle and the Eiffel Tower all over the internet.
What I try to do now is stumble upon intriguing little scenes in out of the way places. Life demands that we explore our surroundings and our world, and exploring Europe always finds me on some back road, or around a corner in a small town, happening on a scene that, to me, says "this would be a beautiful way to live."
If I've done my job right, you will find a beautiful image in these pages, that you can't find anywhere else, and that image will speak to you in some way. When that happens, look at your walls and figure out where this new image should hang!
